Yes, each team is required to source their own vessels! If you are having issues finding your team vessels, please contact us on [email protected] and we will do all we can to help!

All teams must have a home base on the route below! Homebases can either be on the route or at Capri on Via Roma shopping centre. If you would like to base your team out of the centre please contact us on [email protected]

No! Whether you are a seasoned paddler or a newbie on the water, this event is suitable for you. Each lap is not a race, so go at your own pace! There will be safety vessels monitoring the route for the entirety of the event!

There are no limits per team! One team member is required to be out on the water at any one time. Lunch tables have a limit of 12 per table.

Any non-motorised craft is allowed.

100% of all funds raised will not only go directly into keeping our programs running but towards growing the movement and the legacy of what we are going to leave behind. MOB Legacy is leaving the footprint of who we are on the Gold Coast community, supporting the running of our Academy and the future research and development of our model now and into the future.

Community fundraising helps keep our programs, rites of passage camps, excursions, kitchen, sporting teams and pathway programs alive. We have come so far, but we still have many adjustments and improvements to work through as this school is an ever-evolving jigsaw puzzle which we are dedicated to solving.

Sun safety for day paddling (sunscreen, hats etc), warm clothes and lights for your vessels at night.

$5000 is our target for each team however we understand fundraising is very difficult and appreciate any effort made to raise money for our Academy.

Paddlers are required to wear appropriate comfortable clothing according to weather conditions. All participants are required to wear event specific yellow safety singlets for visibility. All participants will be encouraged to wear a life jacket while participating in the paddle (any children under 12 years of age must wear a life jacket).

Rain, hail or shine our paddle will be on!

At any time if any participants feel unsafe or at risk of weather or water conditions, MOB will suspend paddle activity until deemed safe.
